Ever since I started trying on wedding dresses and I was forced to try on tiaras and veils with the dress to “complete the look” I realised I didn’t want one.
I’m 99.9% sure I won’t be wearing either a veil or tiara on my wedding day.
It’s just not me.
As stupid as it sounds, wearing a veil and tiara conjures up images in my head of me as a little girl playing dress up.
Therefore, I want a headband that makes a statement. I love the headbands which have the detailing on the side. Flo and Percy have gorgeous accessories. Suzie wore their Clarice headband from the Gatsby collection during the evening at her wedding, which is absolutely gorgeous!
I really like their Chesire headband from their Wonderland collection
(model is a bit scary looking though!)
I’m having a real struggle at the moment finding something I’m in love with. Don’t get me wrong there are loads of gorgeous headbands out there, I just have trouble picturing them being worn. A lot of websites provide photos of the headband, but I think it really helps to have one of a model wearing it.
They have quite a few cute ones on Etsy.
This Rhinestone Headband is from TessaKim
Swarovski Rhinestone Headband from Brenda’s Bridal Veils
I like the pearls in this Heirloom side tiara headband from
Glitzy Secrets
I found the
Jennifer Behr website a while ago.. she tempts me with her stunning headbands. Especially
Dahlia
Want to know a secret…? I haven’t actually tried on a side headband! Yes, I could be fantasising on something that will look completely pants on. Only one thing for it, mass headband trying on session is in order!

Morning!
It’s not even 11am and I’ve been busy! Me and my friend eBay have been getting on very well this morning… Mr Bank Account shouldn’t be too angry with me….
I found a lilac shrug for £10 with free postage. It’s from the same seller who Suzie bought our bridesmaids’ shrugs from. They are really soft and I thought it would be nice to try it on with my dress. If I don’t like it or it doesn’t look right I can always buy an extra 2 for the bridesmaids to wear.
I also bought a round circle punch for doing our
invitations. I’ve seen them in the shops for over £10 the one I bought from
eBay cost me £5 and does exactly the same job!
I’m hoping the punch will arrive soon so I can arrange a night with the girlies to get punching, sticking, cutting and threading!
Next on the shopping list is card, purple card.
eBay can you help me?!

Top left: Box crop cardi from Oasis, Top Right: South cropped cardigan from Littlewoods
Bottom left: Love Label batwing knit shrug from Littlewoods. Half Sleeve Cardigan from New Look
After
yesterday’s post I spent most of the afternoon searching for purple’s cardigans to go with my dress.
I think it will look better to wear a cropped cardigan with long sleeves. I really like the colour of the south cropped cardigan, but the sleeves are a little too short.
I think my favourite so far is the batwing knit shrug. Just another thing I have to be on the look out for…!

I’ve been playing with the idea of getting a cute cardigan to wear for a few outside photographs. It’s going to be quite chilly outside and although my dress comes with a jacket it only has short sleeves.
I think for a few outside shots a cute cardi or wrap would look lovely. Plus it’s so me! I’m a real comfy cosy kind of girl so to see me in a snuggly wrap wouldn’t look out of place!

These neutral coloured wraps are so sweet!
If I was feeling a little more adventurous I could always go for a colourful cardi!

Last week I won a pair of Coast purple kitten heel shoes. Suzie saw them on eBay and sent me the link. I won them for the bargain price of £13. Their retail value is over £60.
This is the story of the purple kitten heel shoes.
It started with a box…
and a promise…
and then, there they were.
The End.
I’m not 100% sure I’ll use them for the wedding. I don’t think they are perfect, they rub my toes a little but for £13 I can’t grumble, I’ve got myself a stunning pair of purple kitten heel shoes!
P.S is it me or is one of the flowers miles bigger than the other?!

Maybe I could add some purple details to the wedding shoes I already have
And stop drooling over £500 shoes I have no hope of owning! I’ve seen these shoe clips by Yarwood-White
Although I could afford a new pair of shoes for the price of those clips! Hopefully I’ll be able to find a cheaper purple embellishment. That is of course, if I don’t find my dream shoes

This is your mission should you choose to accept it…
Help find me a pair of fabulous purple heels! Please!
I still haven’t been able to find any shoes I like. I didn’t realise it would be so hard.

After being spoilt rotten by my Mom, Dad and Paul when they surprised me with my beautiful Yarwood-White Heirloom Brooch and Earrings I think it’s only sensible to go and complete the collection with the necklace and bracelet.
I absoutely love the heirloom series but always thought it was too expensive to get the whole collection, now that I have been generously given the brooch and earrings (which by the way are even more beautiful and sparkly in real life!) the whole collection doesn’t seem so far out of reach!
