Stayed the same boooo!

Definitely in a rut now, it seems like unless I eat a weight watcher meal every night for dinner I don’t get anywhere!

I’m going to be really strict with myself this week with the hope that if I lose at my next weigh in I’ll be encouraged again.

I did a few sit ups and crunches on Wednesday night and I’m paying for it now!  I can’t move without wincing.   In some weird way I like it though, lets me know I’ve worked out and have done a good job!  I’m also going to try and up my exercise this week.  I have my first dress fitting in September so I want to lose the bulk of my weight before I get measured up.

Anyone else in a weight loss rut?  Have any motivation tips?

Wedding Weight Loss

Over the last two festival loving weeks I have gained 1½lbs

Which in my opinion isn’t too bad for living of festival food for two weekends.  With nothing but cheesy chips, paninis, pizzas, burgers, and wraps to survive on (and obviously a few pints of the the cidery stuff!) I’m not too perturbed by 1½ pounds.

We have no more festivals to go to now until after the wedding and the only obstacles I can see standing between me and my bikini body is a few birthdays and my hen party.

I was having a conversation with some of my fellow twittering brides about the pressures of losing weight for your wedding day and my opinion is that I would be on a diet whether I was getting married or not.  I’m not dieting and working out just for the wedding day, sure it’s the catalyst but I’m also working towards a better shape for life after the wedding.

Of course I want to look my very best for my wedding day, being the centre of attention and having my photo taken more times in one day than I have had in my entire life will make anyone think that way!  However I am not willing to starve myself or deny myself the odd treat.  I will not be making myself miserable for the sake of 1 day.

I lost 3½lbs!!

Do not ask me how!  Although I haven’t eaten as badly as I have been the last few weeks I haven’t really been careful either.

Maybe all that exercise I did last week had a delayed effect?

I now only have another 3½ lbs until I reach my first stone.

I gained 2lbs.

Kick up the bum well and truly received! Loud and clear!  After about 2 weeks of not really tracking, over indulging and generally having a “one more can’t hurt me” attitude it’s finally all caught up with me.

Trust me it could have been a lot worse but I think my regular work outs on the Wii Fit have helped slightly.

I’m back to tracking and saying no to cakes and treats.  I guess I’ll have to stop making cupcakes too, the temptation is obviously too much for me to resist!

I lost ½lb .

Slowly does it!  I managed to do 35 minutes on the Wii Fit on Tuesday before it told me to take a break (Never seen that before!) I’m still aching today!

The good thing is I really enjoy spending time on the Wii Fit.  I feel really energised afterwards and soon hopefully I’ll start to see results.

I stayed the same.

I wasn’t overly surprised, I haven’t really been tracking this week and whilst I haven’t over-eaten I’ve allowed myself a few treats. (Like a massively gorgeous curry at Has’ brother’s house whilst watching the football!)

It seems that when I say on here “I’m going to make more of an effort” I go the opposite way… so who cares this week, if I lose I lose, if I don’t I don’t  ;)

Back on track..

I lost 2lbs

I’m now back to where I started before I went to the Download Festival.  I’ve found getting back on to the diet a little tricky and I know some days I wasn’t exactly good, but I’ve upped my exercise.  I’ve been spending at least 20 minutes on the Wii Fit most nights this week so I think that has helped.

We’ve got just over 4 months to go so I need to step up my gain if I want to reach my target before D day!

After the long weekend of drinking and eating from takeaway vans at the Download Festival I was fully expecting a gain this week at my weigh in… the question was, how much damage did I do?

If you had seen my tweets you’ll know that I was washing down my sausage sandwich with a vodka lemonade at 9.30 in the morning.   The diet really didn’t get any better than that, a weekend of pizzas, paninis, chips and cider.  As much as I’m committed to this diet I really didn’t want to restrict my fun and to be honest with the food on offer at festivals it is really very difficult to eat low point meals.

So… last night I stepped on the scales to see a 2lb gain and you know what?  I’m happy with that.  I could have been so much worse.  I’m going to work extra hard this week to hopefully lose it again.

Imagine my surprise when I stepped on the scales last night to hear “Well done! That’s 3½ lbs off” …Erm sorry can you repeat that!  She wasn’t fibbing or playing a cruel joke the scales really did show a loss of 3½ lbs!

That means I’ve now lost a total of 8½ lbs in 5 weeks.

I set myself a mini target of losing half a stone before I went to the Download Festival next week and I’ve done it… plus some!

I’m going to find it hard to be good at the festival next week, there isn’t a lot of tasty healthy options amongst the burger vans plus the cider will be calling me.  I’m fully expecting to gain a few pounds but at least I’ve lost more than I expected to this week so it won’t be too bad!

I’ve been sticking to the diet religiously, even when we went out to Stratford I included a 99 ice cream into my points.   I’m very much in the zone and although I have a few wobbles where I would kill for a doughnut or pizza I’m focused on my end goal.

Last week I put on 1/2 pound.  It really upset me, the only thing I can think of that may have caused the gain was because I ate a meal of chicken and spaghetti before being weighed.  (Never again!)

Today is my usual weigh in day, but as I’m going to the Blue Door Bakery cupcake decorating workshop I went last night instead.  I’m happy to report that I lost 2 1/2 pounds. Yay!
