So you know about how I made each bridesmaid a box to hide their presents inside, but what did I actually get them? I’ll tell you!
Each bridesmaid received a pearl drop necklace, along with a pair of beautiful pearl and crystal drop earrings from Yarwood White to wear on the day.
Sophie and Natalie also had a delicate pearl bracelet with a tiny silver heart charm. Sophie doesn’t have her ears pierced so I bought her a booked called “When I was a Bridesmaid” and a small digital camera so she could remember all the details about her day.
As well as the jewellery I wanted to get them something a little extra, Hayley received a blue crocheted scarf from warehouse and Suzie had a selection of cupcake decorations and “moo” spatula from Funky Muffin. All the girls also had a set of really cute magnets that spelt out their names from a really sweet Etsy seller called HollieLollie.
My Mom’s boss Deb also very generously knitted the girls a beautiful shawl each. Thank you Deb x
My bridesmaids were all so wonderful and I really wanted to treat them, hopefully the jewellery is something they can wear again and again and each time they do, they can remember how fabulously wonderful they were for us on our wedding day! x

As well as spoiling my bridesmaids with lovely thank you gifts, I wanted to be able to present them beautifully – I had a number of ideas but my love of DIY and chalkboard paint made this the front runner.
I bought 4 cardboard boxes from hobby craft and 2 pots of paint in two shades of purple. Darker for the older and lighter for the younger. Back when the weather was a lot warmer Mom and I set about painting the boxes.
Once happy we then spray painted the lids with chalkboard paint.
It wasn’t long before the boxes and lids were dry and I was able to personalise them.
I wrote each girls name on the lid of the box, then they were ready for filling!
I loved the way the boxes turned out and I love the fact they can be used again – in fact in each box I wrapped up 2 pieces of chalk so the girls can doodle on their lids!

Trevor and Dawn are wonderful, they surprised me with the most perfect necklace to wear on my wedding day.
It’s by Yarwood White and matches the rest of my jewellery. I really am a very lucky lady! The necklace is beyond gorgeous and no photograph can capture just how sparkly it really is. I absolutely love it.
Thank you so much Uncle Trevor and Auntie Dawn I love you both truly. xxx

We have seriously been spoilt lately!
Hayley came to see me the other week with an unexpected gift for us… wrapped delicately in tissue paper were two beautiful purple champagne glasses
Then last week Suzie surprised us with this
A box full of American sweets and chocolates – just look at all those goodies! She also gave us a card decorated with one of our pictures from our photo shoot and a “99 days to go” message!
I do believe I have the best bridesmaids. In the world. Ever!
Love you both very much xxx

Sophie is probably the only bridesmaid who doesn’t read this blog, as she’s only 8 I’ll let her off but it does mean, that I can post about her gifts without spoiling the surprise!
I’ve already got her a book; When I was a Bridesmaid and a necklace for her to wear on the wedding day. I wanted to also buy her a bracelet and today I found the perfect one.
It’s from Accessorize, made from dainty pearls and a sterling silver heart charm. I hope she likes it!

Has and I had to get the bus into work this morning as my poor car (Bebe) is visiting the garage. The stop for our bus is the other side of the town from my office so I rarely venture that way. It was a blessing in disguise, we stepping off the bus to see a shop we had never seen before, in Birmingham at least.
If you’ve never visited or even heard about Cyber Candy, it’s a shop that sells sweets, chocolates, drinks, biscuits and loads more from around the World. In particular (for us!) American candy!
Hershey’s Kisses, Milk Duds (my favourites!), Lucky Charms, Mountain Dew, Twinkies, Jolly Ranchers, Twizzlers to name but a few of the things we over dose on when we’re in the USA.
Hayley’s sister Kirsty bought us back some Hershey’s Kisses on her recent trip to New York and now if we think we need any more, we have a store right on our door step! Depending on the cost it would be nice to be able to have a few more American treats on our candy table.
I was also thinking I could pick up a few treats for our ushers. I think they will go really well with the American lager/beer idea.
I also happen to know that one of my bridesmaids has a bit of a thing for Fruit Loops….

Not sure how it happened but I had a brain wave!
Other than the gifts for the bridesmaids I haven’t really thought about presents for anyone else… until today! We have two ushers at our wedding, my brother Paul and our friend Tom. We’d like to get them a small token each to say thank you for their help and today it hit me!
New York Beer!
to be exact! It’s a cute link back to the New York theme we have going, maybe we could stretch to Boston for a few bottles of Sam Adams

I’ve been having a mooch on the Thorntons website, I love Thorntons chocolates but didn’t realise until today that they offer a wedding service.
Chocolate favours with the bride and grooms initials
Tiny cute favour boxes filled with 1, 2 or 4 delicious Thorntons
They also sell the matching stationery so you can tie everything together. There are loads of different options available and if you already (like me) have sourced your favour boxes but are wondering what to fill them with… how about Thorntons
Continental Viennese Truffles, Champagne Truffle Hearts or even Continental Diplomat (my favourite!)?
If someone has been extra helpful and you want to spoil them why not say thank you with one of Thorntons
amazing I Love Chocolate gift boxes?
Maybe doing this post before lunch was a bad idea? Now I’m hungry and craving chocolate!

Suzie bought me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers to say thank you.
I really love the tiny pinky purple flowers, they are so pretty. They look really wild and natural, I think they’d work really well with the flowers for our wedding. Problem is I have no idea what they are?! Does anyone know?

So on Friday I said I had a little surprise for Suzie…
I made up a little bag of honeymoon goodies!
I started to collect what I thought were essential items (yes Haribo is an essential!) for a honeymoon, including the super cute Goodworks bath products like “Good Riddance Body Scrub” and Good Looking Body Lotion so she can smell delicious! I also bought a little hand fan so she can keep herself cool by the pool. I found some gorgeous “Apple and Dots” hair bands from Baubles N Bows. A bites and stings kit, antibacterial hand sanitiser and nail clippers, file and scissors! Hopefully these little things will all come in handy!
I also gave her a little photo album they can keep their honeymoon snaps in.
Suzie isn’t going on honeymoon for another few weeks yet, but I know she’ll be getting organised about now, hopefully my little pack will help her out a bit!
Note: Photos are a bit rubbish because I took them minutes before rushing out the door on my way to Suzie’s and I only had my little camera with me!
