Another one booked! We also booked our hotel in Seattle last night. It’s rated number 1 on Trip Advisor so I have high hopes for it!
We’ll be staying at the Pan Pacific

The location is great, right in the middle of Pike Place Market and the Seattle Center

Some rooms even offer views of the Space Needle, they just look very comfy to me!

Today is Suzie’s Birthday – her first birthday as a wife!
I’ve known Suzie since we were at college, we used to have a part time job cleaning after hours at our college and I still protest to this day it’s the best job I’ve ever had!
We’ve had many an adventure together including, gambolling down the cinema aisle to the end song in Shrek, the cinema was empty apart from the projectionist who was laughing at us through his little window! Finding a blow up doll in one of our colleges’ offices (!?) we kidnapped her, called her Mary-Jane (she had a Southern American accent – don’t ask me why) then took her around town with us to pose for some passport style photos.
We’re also actually quite musical and can often be heard making up our own songs. Our “hits” would include “Germs” a Romeo and Juliet story about good and bad germs, and “Sugar’s in the Air” this one gets played when we bake
Suzie has always been able to make me laugh and always has a hug at the ready should I need it.
This February I had the greatest honour of being Suzie’s bridesmaid. It was a wonderful day and such an overwhelming feeling to be the one standing next to and supporting Suzie on the most important day of her life.
In just over 4 months time Suzie will be the one standing next to me, and I can’t wait!

Happy Birthday Suzie, lub you loads xxx

All booked! We’ll be staying at the Omni San Francisco.

Rooms look very grand and comfy.

It has great reviews on Trip Advisor, especially about the location which is smack bang in the middle of Fisherman’s Wharf and Union Square

Yay, another thing crossed off the “to-do” list!

Thursday night Hayley and her tweezers (Thank you!) came round to help me stick my teeny tiny flat backed pearls on to our invites.

I had previously attempted to do this on my own, worried that I was asking too much of my bridesmaids. I soon gave up and shouted for help when I found it took me 20 minutes to finish 3 invitations…!

It was an incredibly fiddly job, but with 3 of us all working hard it hardly took any time at all.

I am totally in love with the finished result!

I need to figure out now what I want to do with the outside. Then, the invites should all be ready to start sending out in just over a months time!

I made our dads cakes for Father’s Day.

Vanilla sponge men shaped cakes filled with raspberry Jam for Has’ dad and cherry jam for my dad. I also made green and red cupcakes to go with them.

Over half have already been eaten, so they must be tasty!
Has’ dad has already eaten his cake and I’m giving my dad his this afternoon.

Happy Friday!!
Have you caught World Cup fever? Will you be watching the England match tonight? (Anyone else wanting to burn every last vuvuzela?) Suzie is popping over later to escape the football liar that will be her flat, so we’re going to be doing odd wedding relating jobs, drinking tea and having a good catch up – I haven’t seen her in weeks!
Tomorrow Has and I are going to Wembley to see my favourite band.ever! Green Day! I’m so jump-up-and-down-and-squeal-excited! I can’t wait.
We have no plans for Sunday except relaxing and seeing our dads. What do you have planned?

I’ve loved so much this week, blog land seems to have been filled with gorgeous loveliness.
Wishing you all a fab weekend

After the long weekend of drinking and eating from takeaway vans at the Download Festival I was fully expecting a gain this week at my weigh in… the question was, how much damage did I do?
If you had seen my tweets you’ll know that I was washing down my sausage sandwich with a vodka lemonade at 9.30 in the morning. The diet really didn’t get any better than that, a weekend of pizzas, paninis, chips and cider. As much as I’m committed to this diet I really didn’t want to restrict my fun and to be honest with the food on offer at festivals it is really very difficult to eat low point meals.
So… last night I stepped on the scales to see a 2lb gain and you know what? I’m happy with that. I could have been so much worse. I’m going to work extra hard this week to hopefully lose it again.

As much as I love the fast that our wedding falls in the winter month of November, there is something special about a summer wedding.
Gorgeous light, bright colours and weather warm enough to hold your ceremony outdoors.
